We offer several options to choose from when designing the perfect portrait of your pet!  This table provides a breakdown of portrait options and pricing:

By default, full body portraits are drawn on 12 x 16 paper, but you can upgrade to 18 x 24 paper for an additional $50. 

Please note, if you have multiple pets you would like to be drawn separately, please place a one-pet order for each individual pet. Pet portraits in the same purchase order will be drawn together. 

If you would like to order a portrait of 4+ pets together, please Contact Us directly for an estimate.

It's easy! When you order your custom pet caricature on DrawMyDog.com, you will be asked to fill out a quick submission form, which includes the ability to upload up to 5 photos of your pet(s). You can also email me your photos directly at laurenknightillustration@gmail.com or reply to your order confirmation with attached photos.

I will work with whatever photos you have of your pet! However, the better photos you provide, the more accurate and detailed your pet portrait will turn out!

The best reference photos of your pet should probably follow these loose rules:

• Well-lit and NO FLASH!
• Taken from eye level (not from above) so I can see your pet's whole body
• Not taken too close to avoid the "fish eye" look
• Submit photos of how you want me to draw your pet! For example: if you want me to draw your dog with her ears up, do not send photos with her ears down. Same goes for haircuts, outfits, etc.
• For portraits including multiple pets together, you do not have to send group photos of your pets! I prefer you send MULTIPLE PHOTOS OF EACH PET so that I can really focus on them as individuals within a group portrait.

Photos with personality are ultimately what's most important! Send photos that show off your pet's unique expressions, body language and attitude!

I strongly recommend submitting multiple photos of each pet from several angles- and not just because I love seeing tons of pet pictures, although that is a bonus!. You can submit up to 5 photos when you order your pet portrait, but you can send more photos to me directly at laurenknightillustration@gmail.com.

The word caricature comes from the Italian words carico and caricare, meaning 'to load' or to 'exaggerate'. At Draw My Dog, my goal is to celebrate your pet's unique personality and characteristics by exaggerating not only their features (big droopy ears, puppy eyes, chubby cheeks, etc) but also their individual quirks: the funny way they sit, their crooked smile, the way they always carry their favorite toy- all the little things that you find endearing as their proud pet parent.

When designing your pet's portrait, think about all the little things that make your pet special to YOU. Maybe there's a funny story behind how they got their name. Maybe they have a bad habit of drinking out of the toilet that has become a running joke in your family. Maybe you would like a portrait of your pet representing your favorite sports team, or portraying your favorite movie characters. For multiple pet portraits, think about the relationship between your pets and how you want them to be interacting in the portrait.

Yes- if you place one order for a portrait with multiple pets, they will be drawn together. If you want your pets to be drawn separately, please place a "1 Pet" order for each pet individually. Multiple drawings will be shipped together, so you will not have to pay extra for shipping!
